Meet James N. Dicks
James N. Dicks attended Western State University School of Law and graduated
in 1987. That same year, he took the California State Bar Examination
and passed on his first attempt. Attorney Dicks joined the Los Angeles
County Public Defender's Office in 1987 and tried numerous cases obtaining
In 1988, he moved to San Diego County and joined the San Diego County Public
Defender's Office where he continued his success as a trial lawyer.
In 1990, Attorney Dicks founded JD Law, which has now grown to include
two offices, one in North County and one in San Diego County, a staff
of paralegals, investigators, case managers, and other support personnel.

Attorney Dicks had tried hundreds of criminal cases and earned the respect
of judges and prosecutors for the vigorous defense he provides. He has
lectured at several criminal defense seminars on how to cross-examine
police officers on the witness stand. He has also lectured to criminal
defense associations and criminal defense bar associations on the defense
of drug cases.
Attorneys Dicks is certified by the Board of Legal Specialization of the
California State Bar as a
criminal law specialist. He has been required to pass rigorous requirements of experience, education,

clients against murder charges, "Three Strikes" cases, as well
as virtually every other type of state and federal crime.
